‘Half of 4+4’ sparks controversy, leaving the internet scratching their heads

A recent video on Instagram by user @bowaledeen sparked a debate over a math question: “What is half of 4 + 4?” The video shows a woman asking her friend this question, and he confidently answers “Four.” However, the woman believes that the correct answer is number six.

This question has divided viewers on the Internet, and shared opinions on the correct answer. Some accept the woman’s answer, but others believe that the man’s answer is reasonable. The confusion seems to come from whether the “half” applies to the whole equation or the fourth number.
